SONANGOL’s interest in conservation of the natural environment has three important aspects to be considered.

1. Natural resources, as SONANGOL is committed to the preservation of the areas in which it operates.
2. As a major employer in Angola, it is in SONANGOL's interest that its employees be involved in the maintenance of a healthy environment in its communities.
3. As producer and distributor of hydro carbonate products, we help our clients safely use and dispose of our products and to consider the problems of the environment.

Cleaning the Coastline

• SONANGOL supports the national "coastline cleaning day" as well as other initiatives to upkeep the beaches of the country. SONANGOL also makes contributions for the Maritime Conservation Center, which coordinates the national campaign to clean the coastline.
