Held the position of Adjunct General Director of the ENE and subsequently named General Director of the EDEL, position held from July 1989 to January 1992. In March 1992 he is hired at SONANGOL as Electrical Engineer, in June of that same year he is named Director of the Planning Cabinet and in May of 1998 goes on to take the position of Assistant Director in addition to the position of Planning Director of the now extinct Sonangol Distributor. On April 22, 1999 he is nominated Administrator of SONANGOL – E.P.

On August 20, 2002 his mandate was renewed for 3 years with the Decree n.º 73/02 from the Council of Ministers.
