MESSAGE FROM MR. PCA

Dear colleagues,

Sonangol has been, for the last 40 years, the largest Angolan company of reference in the management of one of the main wealth of the country and betting, above all, in the professionalism of its employees, having gained a leading position in the oil market. However, the structure of our company has undergone various changes to its current design and today has a solid structure that embodies a true Business Group. However, there is a need for us to continue to adapt our actions to the current national context and international best practices, which is why the restructuring program of the Sonangol Group began on 15 November 2018. We make ethical conduct one of the core values of our agenda for one simple reason: to adhere to the highest possible compliance standards to do business and earn the trust of all stakeholders. The support of all is essential to keep our ideals and the culture of excellent service present; It is our mission to contribute to the development of Sonangol and all Subsidiaries, with human capital being our most important asset. Thus, we have introduced a new Code of Conduct and Ethics that guides all the decisions we make on a daily basis to ensure that we remain the company of choice for our customers and partners. I urge everyone to discuss this vital document and let the superiors or the Ethics Directorate know if we identify any inappropriate behaviour in our teams, remembering that the whole process is governed by secrecy. Our culture should not only be about what we do but also about how we do it. Doing what is right is our responsibility.

conduta.JPG The Code of Ethical Conduct is the formal and institutional reference for the personal and professional conduct of all Sonangol Group Employees, regardless of their position or function, to become a standard of internal relationships, to customers, employees, unions, partners, suppliers, service providers, competitors, society, government and the communities where it operates.

At Sonangol Group, no employee should accept or solicit favors for their own benefit, such as discounts on personal purchases, free or under-priced services, loans for equipment, facilities, cars, accommodation or any other real or personal property, including cash,  that would not be available if he did not perform his function.

In the Sonangol Group, any act of intent, regardless of its nature and value, is considered fraud even if detected prior to actual loss.

It is the Sonangol Group's policy that all its employees fully comply with the Law and internal regulations whenever they carry out the Group's activities. This policy also applies to service providers in their contracts.

Sonangol guarantees the protection of the whistleblower's identity (if informed by him) and does not tolerate any retaliation (including any attempt to determine who provided anonymous information) against those who have made complaints or reported concerns in good faith.
